The whole of Offaly are behind Coolderry as they chase a place in The All-Ireland Club decider on St Patrick's Day. Coolderry take on Gort of Galway in their AIB All-Ireland Club semi-final on Saturday afternoon at 2pm in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. Coolderry who won their Leinster title back in November are ready for the challenge. They are a very well balance side with a great management team led by Ken Hogan. Offaly GAA wish Coolderry and everybody involved all the best wishes on Saturday.
2012 AIB GAA Hurling Club Championship semi-finals have a novel line-up with three of the four clubs never having won the title. Loughgiel Shamrocks are the exception and their 1983 triumph remains the sole All-Ireland success by an Ulster club. The Antrim men take on first-time Munster champions Na Piarsaigh (Limerick) in Parnell Park, Dublin. The Gaelic Grounds in Limerick will host the semi-final with surprise Galway champions Gort facing Coolderry (Offaly) who landed their maiden Leinster title in November. With traditional powers like Ballyhale Shamrocks and Portumna already eliminated from this year’s All-Ireland series, players from the four remaining challengers know this is an excellent opportunity to land the biggest prize in club hurling. |
