Offaly didn't get the start they would have wanted in The Allianz Football League In Pearse Park in Longford today going down on a scoreline of 2-15 to 0-8.  The game was a close affair in the first half with points from Bernard Allen, Nigel Dunne and 4 from full forward Alan Mulhall (2f and 1 45) left the half time score Longford 1-6 Offaly 0-6.  The goal coming from Longford's Paul Kelly.  Bernard Allen added another point for Offaly at the start of the second half but then Longford went on a scoring rampage and ran out easy winners on a scoreline of 2-15 to 0-8.
