When and where did you first start playing hurling? With Tullamore U10’s but from as soon as I could walk I had a hurl in my hand.

Biggest influence on your hurling career: Mother and Father.

What sporting event would you most like to attend? Super Bowl Final or Champions League Final if Liverpool were playing.

To date what is your favourite moment in sport? Last 5 minutes of 1994 All Ireland Final. My father getting his long overdue All Star in 1998. Liverpool winning 2005 Champions League.

Favourite Venue: Croke Park.

Favourite G.A.A. player: Eoin Kelly (Tipp), Colm Cooper.

What sportsperson would you most like to meet? Muhammad Ali, David Beckham,

What is the hardest part of your sporting life? At the minute it’s recovering from training and matches. Missing out on Holidays when others are going away is tough and having to get up for work when you’re just drained and broke up.

Toughest player to mark in training? Dermot Mooney

Who is the ‘joker’ on the panel? Dan Kelleher, it’s more to do with the fact that he is certifiably nuts and is liable to do/say anything! Also, for some reason, he hates Christmas tree’s.

If you won the lotto what would be the first thing you would buy?! A long Family Holiday to Australia to see my sister.

Favourite holiday destination: Spain

Favourite Food: Fillet Steak and Veg

Favourite Drink: Coffee

Favourite Music: Anything, from Bruce Springsteen and Oasis to Kanye West and Tiesto.

Favourite Film: Michael Collins, Gladiator.

In ten years time I hope to be: Happy, Healthy and Comfortable.

One thing you may not know about me…… I can play the guitar and belt out a few little ditties…
