U8/10/12 Football Workshop for Club Coaches
Offaly GAA are running the second of three Workshops next Tuesday the 21st of June. These workshops are aimed at supporting the club coaches at U8/10/12 level. The workshops will concentrate on the skills and will cover skill testing and the drills that can be used to develop the specific skills. We are asking all clubs to send in their U8, 10 and 12s, coaches and 2 players from each club at each age group in Ballinagar next Tuesday night for 7PM sharp. The players will then be trained by Offaly GDAs Liam O’Reilly, Keith McGuinness and Special Guest Eoin Carroll along with the club coaches for an hour that night.
Plan for the night
U8’s
Liam O’Reilly will take the under 8’s – the players and coaches will work with Liam. The players will then be tested on two particular skills and will then receive training on the skill that are tested using drills and game base training. Club coaches will play a big part in the activities that will be done on the night.
U10’s
Keith McGuinness will take the under 10s – the players and coaches will work with Keith. The players will then be tested on two particular skills and will then receive training on the skill that are tested using drills and game base training. Club coaches will play a big part in the activities that will be done on the night.
U12’s
Eoin Carroll will take the under 12s – the players and coaches will work with Eoin. The players will then be tested on two particular skills and will then receive training on the skill that are tested using drills and game base training. Club coaches will play a big part in the activities that will be done on the night.
It is very important that the U8/10/12 club coaches attend these workshops as we believe this will be of benefit to club, coaches and players.
