Offaly Award 2 Hurling Course
Offaly GAA in conjunction with Leinster GAA commenced their first all Offaly Award 2 Hurling Course in Kilcormac last Saturday morning. 36 Coaches from across the county participated. Award 2 level Coaching Course qualifies coaches to train teams at inter county level.
Attaining the Award 2 qualification is a significant effort which includes attending 10 workshop both theory and practical and involves the completion of a number of assignments. This is a very positive development for hurling in Offaly and it is one of the flag ship recommendations from the Hurling Pathway.
Such was the demand from within the county for the Award 2 Hurling course another one is planned to start in Jan 2017.
