Offaly GAA – Undergraduate Scholarships
Offaly GAA is offering 4 undergraduate scholarships of €1,000 per year to first year third level students
from County Offaly to support their studies in a third level institution. Commencing with the 2021/2022
academic year, the scholarship will apply for each of the three years of the course, subject to annual
review.
The following criteria applies
• You have applied for a full-time undergraduate course via the CAO process and been offered and
accepted that course and registered as a student with a third level institution.
• You play with the third level institution’s GAA Football Club or Hurling Club with the ambition to be
a member of the Sigerson Cup team, Fitzgibbon Cup team or the college’s first senior football or
hurling GAA team.
• Academic performance will be relevant in relation to year 2 of the scholarship.
• You are a registered member of a GAA club in County Offaly.

• Under NO circumstances will late applications be accepted.
• Closing date: 30th November 2021
• Interview dates: December 2021
Payment of Scholarship
The annual Scholarship payment will be made in the last week of January 2022 once the above criteria
have been satisfied.
Note
This is a competitive process. A limited number of scholarships are available. Maximum scholarship term
of 3 years with an annual review. Decision of the interview panel is final.
