Novel Offaly Senior Hurling Final On Sunday
Offaly GAA fans have a novel Molloy Environmental Systems Offaly Senior Hurling Championship final to look forward to on Sunday, 2nd October.
Shinrone and Kilcormac-Killoughey will battle it out for the Sean Robbins Cup at 4.00pm in O’Connor Park.
It will be Shinrone’s second ever appearance in an Offaly SFC final, and first since 1960. Kilcormac-Killoughey were the most recent new winners of the Cup in 2012, and since then have triumphed in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
After progressing through the group stages, Shinrone defeated reigning champions St Rynagh’s in the quarter-final and staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Belmont in the semi-final. Meanwhile, Kilcormac-Killoughey progressed directly to the penultimate round after topping their group and went on to defeat Birr.
