Two Important League Fixtures In O’Connor Pk This Weekend
There are two crucial games for Offaly in the Allianz Leagues this weekend, and both are fixed for Glenisk O’Connor Park.
After last weekend’s draw with Kildare, Offaly senior hurlers must face Kerry for the second time this season in the league. The Division 2A semi-final throws-in on Saturday, 25th March at 2.00pm. Offaly will be determined to reach the final and stay in the hunt for promotion, despite suffering injuries to some key players in recent weeks.

Then, on Sunday afternoon, Offaly senior footballers host Down in Glenisk O’Connor Park, also at 2.00pm. After a great win away to Tipperary last Saturday, the Faithful County are still in contention for promotion. Offaly must beat Down and hope that Cavan also beat Fermanagh.
So far in this campaign, Offaly have won four games and lost two and it will be a poignant occasion on Sunday as it is the team’s first home game since the sudden passing of manager, Liam Kearns on Sunday, 12th March.
