Football Club Championships Commence This Week
The 2023 Tullamore Court Hotel Offaly Club Football Championships start this weekend, with some eagerly-anticipated first round ties expected to produce many talking points.
2022 Senior Football Champions Rhode begin the defence of the Dowling Cup with a local derby versus Edenderry, while 2021 winners Tullamore take on Ferbane. Meanwhile, also in the SFC, Shamrocks face Bracknagh while Clara meet Durrow. Those four games are pencilled in for Friday evening, 14th July at 7.30pm. There are also some exciting games down for decision at other grades, including at Senior B and Intermediate.
The Tullamore Court Hotel are long-standings sponsors of the Championships and a launch was held at the popular venue last Saturday morning. County Board Chairperson, Michael Duignan thanked the Hotel for their outstanding support of Offaly GAA for over 20 years. Philip O’Brien, General Manager of the Tullamore Court Hotel said they were delighted to sponsor the Championships and said it is a huge part of their commitment to the local community.
