Ballinamere And K-K Advance to SHC Final
There will be a novel pairing in this year’s Molloy Environmental Systems Offaly Senior Hurling Championship final.
Ballinamere have reached the final for the first time since 1908, where they will take on reigning champions, Kilcormac-Killoughey.
They both came through the double-header of semi-finals at Glenisk O’Connor Park on Sunday – Ballinamere overcoming St Rynagh’s by 1-21 to 2-14, and K-K defeating Coolderry by 4-21 to 1-11.
On Saturday at Grant Heating St Brendan’s Park, Birr, Kilcormac-Killoughey’s second team retained the Senior B Hurling Championship title, defeating Clodiagh Gaels by 1-13 to 0-9. And Coolderry won the Intermediate Hurling Championship final, beating Drumcullen on a scoreline of 3-12 to 1-12.
