Tullamore v Ferbane The Highlight On Football Finals Weekend
It’s football finals weekend in Offaly with four of the important Tullamore Court Hotel Championship finals down for decision.
The main game of the weekend is the Dowling Cup decider between reigning champions Tullamore and Ferbane, a repeat of last year’s final, which was played in terrible weather conditions. Throw-in is at 4.00pm.
Both teams had convincing semi-final victories – Tullamore eased past Edenderry, while Ferbane were too strong for Shamrocks.
Parish rivals Ballinagar and Raheen will meet in an attractive curtain-raiser on Sunday, with the Intermediate Championship title being the reward for the winners.
The previous day, Cappincur and Clonbullogue meet in the Senior ‘B’ final, preceded by the Junior A final between Shannonbridge and Edenderry.
