All Set For Senior Hurling Final Showdown
Many of Offaly’s Under 20 and Senior hurling stars will be in action in this Sunday’s Molloy Environmental Systems Offaly Senior Hurling Championship final at Glenisk O’Connor Park. The big game between Ballinamere and Kilcormac-Killoughey throws in at 3.45pm and a big crowd is expected at the Tullamore venue.
The featured players include this year’s All-Ireland under 20 winning captain Dan Bourke and also from that team lining out for Ballinamere is Dan Ravenhill. A host of under 20 players are in the K-K squad, including James Mahon, the Kavanagh brothers – Leigh, Brecon and Alex – Ter Guinan, Colin Spain, Daniel Hand and, of course, Adam Screeney. Other U20s will be among the subs.
Then, among the senior players who won Joe McDonagh Cup medals this season who will battle it out are Mark Troy, Ross Ravenhill, Brian Duignan, Ciaran Burke, Sam Bourke (Ballinamere), up against Cillian Kiely and Charlie Mitchell (Kilcormac-Killoughey)
It has all the prospects of a cracking contest between two sides who have shown exceptional form throughout the championship season.
