Iโm playing with the U15 Hurling Squad. I love training in the Faithful Fields which involves both pitch & gym time at each session. I love wearing the Offaly jersey & I am very proud to represent my County. Iโve had the opportunity to play in challenge & competitive matches against other Counties such as Tipperary, Kilkenny & Galway.

Give us a few words about your involvement with the Offaly Development squads: I think my football has improved a lot since starting with the Offaly development squad. The coaching is very good and brings the best out in me.

Neville Dunne: Offaly U15 Football
Working with the Offaly Development Squads is incredibly rewarding. It provides an opportunity to operate in a high-performance environment, collaborating with other coaches, observing different coaching styles, and sharing ideas and experiences. It allows you to learn from others, challenge your own thinking, and continually develop as a coach.
The role also gives you the chance to work with some of the best young players in the county and test your coaching skills and knowledge against the strongest teams in Ireland. It is both a challenge and a valuable learning experience that drives constant improvement.
Personally, I am a natural leader and someone who likes to take charge. However, within this environment, I have learned the importance of stepping back, listening to others’ perspectives, and embracing different approaches. Bringing together the collective ideas of a coaching group and seeing how they compare with what other counties are doing is both challenging and rewarding.
Any opportunity to wear the Offaly jersey or represent the county crest as a coach should be considered a great honour and privilege. It is something that should never be taken for granted. Many great teams and individuals have represented this proud county over the years, and I would love to play a role in helping create the next chapter of Offaly’s success and be part of a team that makes new history.

Games Programme Update
The championships at U14, U16 and Minor level are now nearing the end of the group stages.
As promised to all clubs, players and parents, the knockout stages will not begin until September. This allows time for the holiday period and the Gaeltacht courses to finish, ensuring that all teams have the opportunity to compete at full strength.
This break means that some teams will have a quieter August. During this period, our U12 and U13 Shield Finals will take place, followed by the U12 Hurling and Football League Finals. The knockout stages of both the Johnny Flattery Cup and the Ollie Day Cup will also be played.

Underage Club Spotlight โ Seir Kieran
Seir Kieran GAAโs underage section is a hive of activity each week, with boys and girls taking part from Nursery right through to Under-12. In 2026, the club is proudly fielding teams at Under-6, Under-8, Under-10, Under-11 and Under-12 levels.
Our aim is to provide a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment where young players can enjoy hurling with their friends, build lifelong friendships and develop their skills and confidence at every stage of their journey. As they progress through the age grades, we hope to see many of them proudly represent Seir Kieran at adult level, whether that be Junior, Intermediate or Senior.
We are extremely fortunate to have a dedicated team of coaches and volunteers who generously give their time each week to support and develop our young players. Their commitment helps foster a lifelong love of Gaelic games while ensuring the proud tradition of hurling in Seir Kieran continues to thrive for future generations.
Everyone in the club is immensely proud of Seir Kieranโs long-standing connection with Offaly hurling and our young players have outstanding role models to look up to.In 2026 Jack Collins proudly Captained the Offaly Minor team with fellow clubman Aodhan Carroll also representing the County at Minor Level while Sean Carey wore the faithful colours at Under-20 level. Seeing familiar club faces wearing the county colours is a tremendous source of inspiration for our underage players and shows them what can be achieved through hard work, dedication and a love of the game.
