“Supporting Our Coaches” – Hurling Workshop
U8/10/12 Hurling Workshop Supporting Club Coaches
Offaly GAA are running three Hurling Workshops over the course of next three months May, June and July. These workshops are aimed at supporting the club coaches at U8/10/12 level. The workshops will concentrate on the skills and will cover skill testing and the drills that can be used to develop the specific skills. We are asking all clubs to send in their U8, 10 and 12s, coaches and 2 players from each club at each age group to KILCORMAC GAA pitch next Tuesday 31st May for 7PM sharp. The players will then be trained by Offaly GDAs John Leahy, Conor Clancy and Michael Cleary along with the club coaches for an hour that night.
Plan for the night
U8’s
Conor Clancy will take the under 8’s – the players and coaches will work with Conor. The players will then be tested on two particular skills and will then receive training on the skill that are tested using drills and game base training. Club coaches will play a big part in the activities that will be done on the night.
U10’s
Michael Cleary will take the under 10s – the players and coaches will work with Michael. The players will then be tested on two particular skills and will then receive training on the skill that are tested using drills and game base training. Club coaches will play a big part in the activities that will be done on the night.
U12’s
John Leahy will take the under 12s – the players and coaches will work with John. The players will then be tested on two particular skills and will then receive training on the skill that are tested using drills and game base training. Club coaches will play a big part in the activities that will be done on the night.
All clubs have been notified and it is very important that the U8/10/12 club coaches attend these workshops as we believe this will be of benefit to club, coaches and players.
