Both Offaly and Kildare have four wins from five games in this season’s Allianz Football League Division 3 and so are on the verge of promotion. The winners of this game will be in pole-position to progress to Division 2, whereas the loser may require a win in Round 7 to go up.
Offaly, so far, have defeated Sligo, Laois, Antrim and Leitrim, with their only defeat coming away to Fermanagh, by a single point after a stirring second half comeback just fell short.
Kildare have enjoyed victories over Fermanagh, Sligo, Leitrim and Laois, although they were shocked by a late goal away to Clare.
