After seasons spent in the Joe McDonagh and Christy Ring Cup competitions, Offaly Senior Hurlers make a much anticipated return to the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship versus Dublin in Parnell Park this Saturday evening, 20th April.
This is a welcome boost to hurling in the county, following on from last year’s Joe McDonagh Cup and All-Ireland U20 Hurling Championship titles, followed up with promotion to Division 1A of the Allianz League last month.
Johnny Kelly’s team are preparing for five group games in quick succession, with Dublin followed by Galway, Kilkenny, Wexford and Antrim.
