Footballers Begin Div 2 Campaign Away To Clare
Following their promotion last season, Offaly senior footballers commence the Allianz Football League Division 2 season away to Clare on Sunday, 30th January 2022. The game will take place in Ennis at 2.00pm.
John Maughan and his selectors have introduced several members of the 2021 All-Ireland winning U20 team into this year’s squad and will be determined to retain their Division 2 status.
The Offaly team is: Paddy Dunican (Shamrocks); Declan Hogan (Tullamore), James Lalor (Raheen), Niall Darby (Rhode); Ciaran Donnelly (Bracknagh), Johnny Moloney (Tullamore), Cian Donohoe (St Brigid’s); Jordan Hayes (Edenderry), Cathal Mangan (Kilclonfert); Bill Carroll (Cappincur), Anton Sullivan (Rhode), Dylan Hyland (Raheen); Bernard Allen (Tubber), Jack Bryant (Shamrocks), Ruairi McNamee (Rhode).

In the recent O’Byrne Cup, Offaly were defeated by Dublin in the first round, but followed up with victories over Longford and Louth.
