The Offaly GAA community is deeply saddened to learn of the death of hurling legend Johnny Flaherty. He was a key player on the team that won the Leinster SHC final for the 1st time in 1980 and he scored the winning goal in the 1981 All-Ireland final.

Offaly forward Shane Dooley has retired from inter-county hurling, officially concluding a senior career that spanned 17 seasons. He is Offaly hurling’s all-time top scorer.
