There’s hardly time to draw breath as Offaly hurlers and footballers are both on the road for Allianz League Round 4 games this weekend.
To their credit, neither of the teams has lost a game this season, but that impressive record will be put to the test with difficult assignments coming up.
On Saturday, the Senior Hurlers travel to Croke Park to take on Dublin, with a throw-in time of 5.15pm (this game is followed by Dublin v Derry in the Football League). To date, Offaly started with a draw against Carlow, followed by convincing victories over Laois and Antrim, so the team will be in a positive frame of mind heading to GAA HQ.

Then, on Sunday, the Senior Footballers will also be on the road as they head north to Enniskillen to take on Fermanagh. With three wins from three – thanks to defeats of Sligo, Laois and Antrim – hopes are high that they will keep up their 100% record. But Fermanagh always provide a stern test and this has the hallmarks of a close game.
